Something Rotten Original Cast Question

I'm hoping to see Something Rotten sometime this summer (June/July). Is there any chance the original cast will still be there? I'd like to at least see Brian d'Arcy James and Christian Borle.

Original cast members Peter Barlett and Brooks Ashmanskas have already left, and Michael James Scott is leaving the show on January 31st. Not sure about BDJ or Christian Borle.

Anything is possible...but it is past their one year contract, so it wouldnt surprise me if they both ate gone. 

Both likely have other projects lined up.

 

The good news....even if they only extend a short while, it will likely cover June!

i got the opportunity to see both leading men and the leading lady in November, this past year...and they were really terrific...i honestly thought SOMETHING ROTTEN was one of the most enjoyable shows i had seen in years!...catch them if you can...

I agree, saw it Labor Day weekend and it was just so much fun !! Brad Oscar is also pretty good.

I saw the show last week and did the stage door. Heidi Blickenstaff said they're all signed up to June. I guess after that us anyone's guess.

At Broadwaycon, John Cariani said that they are in talks of extending their contracts and he said that he'd like to stay on for a while. Christian Borle said the same thing. They moved on to another topic before Brian d'Arcy James could talk about it.

I heard John say the same thing at a different event - I think he will be staying for a while, he seemed to be very happy to be with the show.

I know this is an old thread but John Cariani, Heidi Blickenstaff, Kate Reinders and Christian Borle all leave tonight! The only original principals remaining are Brad Oscar and Gerry Vichi! 

I'll be there tonight with 2 of my friends who have not seen the show before. Can't wait!
