THE PRODUCERS in the Renaissance, right? I just watched some of it. Okay. Probably what many people are waiting for. SPAMALOT II
Another meta show about putting on a show. Brad Oscar doing a number that references numbers from well known shows. First time, ever.
"The girls are risque/the chorus guys are kinda gay."
"Don't be a penis/the guy is a genius."
Ha.
What made them show so much of a run-through? Because the word of mouth is very insular?

I really enjoyed what I was able to see. I wish the full numbers were still up. Welcome to the Renaissance is stuck in my head. I really liked A Musical (or whatever the song is actually called), although Brad Oscar's performance seemed too over the top for me. Unfortunately there wasn't enough of I Hate Shakespeare on any of the videos for me to form an opinion on that song. The Will Power and quartet numbers look like they need a lot of work. But this show looks like it's going to be great!
Auggie, I think they used this as an opportunity to to get people to learn about the show some more since it's completely original and has no basis in any other produced work. So they have to build their audience a lot more than all the adaptations coming.
Goldfish3 and HeyBroadwayHey: You just needed to float this thread - and add to it with : "some new promos for this show. It looks even better than this preview" or something like that.
