Well the label that made the Judi Dench ALNM (TRING) went out of business. It appears their excess stock was dumped to delete stores and such. There have been rumours that someone else will acquire the rights and re-release it, but so far those re nothing more than mere rumours.

Ah, a bit like the 1993 recording of SHOW BOAT. Let's hope it is re-released. I would love to get my hands on it. I've heard Judi do "Send in the Clowns", and it was fabulous.

I didn't get this particular DVD b/c I already have it in my box set, however, I've ordered from DDD a few times in the past. With the free shipping, it can take a couple of weeks to arrive. I noticed that when I was home in PA over winter break, my package arrived earlier than it does when I'm at school in Florida, but it still took some time. Give it a couple more days, and if it doesn't come by then, call. Also, it's been awhile since I've ordered anything, but doesn't the site (or an email they send you..one of the two) have a tracking number so that you can see where the package is?

Ah, I love DDD so very, very much. This past Thanksgiving, they were having this huge sale and you got everything in your cart for an extra...it was either 10 or 20 percent off. I originally heard about the site when looking for the first volume of my Kaleido Star DVD at the beg. of last year. Great, great site. ^_^

I've heard HORRIFIC stories about Deep Discount DVD. Check out Fatwallet.com to read them on their Hot Deals forum. They take extremely long to ship (if they ship at all), their customer service is almost nonexistent, and they sometimes charge without shipping.

As much as I like a deal, its just not worth it if you're not getting the product in a timely fashion. If I -knew- that they took over a month to send something, it may not be so bad, but, well, geez... :<

And I'm not just blowing steam.

Wow, I haven't had the problems that you've had, Louden. I've found that while it can take a few weeks to arrive (Typically 2-3), I've never NOT gotten my stuff or been charged for something that I never got. The friends who introduced me to the site never had a problem, either.

I guess it's mixed. Take your chances. I still like the site, but I see why others don't as well. Hmm.

I have been ordering from DDD for several years now and while SOMETIMES the shipments are slow (hey it's free - if you want to pay for a quicker shipping time, it's not that more than ordering from anywhere else) I have only ever had one error in shipping from them. I had ordered a bunch of dvds and the shipment appeared to be missing. I called them up and told them I never got the dvd's (I think 4 or 5) and they started tracking the shipment. They didn't know why it was taking longer than normal, so the sent out the order again later that day. I'm not sure which shipment I got first, but I ended up getting both within a day or two of each other. I immediately called them to get a Return Authorization on the dupe and they VERY KINDLY said, "don't worry about it - keep them..sorry for the delay"

I've been ordering from DDD for years also and love 'em. 99 times out of 100, they are the cheapest price out there. Yeah sometimes it takes a while to receive your order, but what do you want for free. If you want quick shipping, you can go spend $3.99 at amazon. I'll stick w/ DDD.

I. Love. This. DVD.

One of my favorites.
For the past two years, it has been my primary "put on while doing homework" DVD.

It has some great performances.
Only it doesn't have some of the performances that are on the CD of the concert, which is also well worth the price.

Get this DVD now.
