Hey, I am looking for musical theatre songs between two people that are meeting one another for the first time, on a date, or something like that. I know this is a really random and vague question, but it would really help me. I'm pretty sure I'm not making any sense.... but I hope someone can offer some suggestions :)

This material is "older", but it all still works.

Billy and Julie's "If I Loved You" from "Carousel", with that amazing scene preceding it.

"I'm the Greatest Individual" between Oscar and "Sweet" Charity is kinda cutesy, but fun for lighter fare.

"Come Up to My Place" (the taxi-ride sequence) in "On the Town" is a kick for two good comic performers. And it's REALLY fun to perform, trust me.

If you don't mind going to a trio "Been a Long Day" from How to Succeed...

"Lovely" from A Funny Thing...Forum is also quite funny for a couple's first meeting.

AEA AGMA SM You are wrong about Barcelona. They are not meeting for the first time at all. She is his girlfriend and I believe they have just have sex but this is not their first encounter. Stud and Babe was the first thing I thought of. Also Sarah Brown Eyes from Ragtime is a flashback to the first time Sarah and Coalhouse meet.

I was thinking "Barcelona" for more the "on a date or something like that" part of the original question. I'm well aware that it is not their first meeting. Sorry if it came across that way.

And yes, the song is indeed a post-coital number.
