I am looking for a musical theater duet for a song dance. The girls are 11 and almost 12, they are competing in a section which includes 15 yr olds, due to it being intermediate.! We would like something NOT done, DIFFERENT, cute, funny, quirky! It can be from an old movie, new movie, broadway, tv show or movie, animated movie, or just a normal duet that is cute and different. If you can help, pleeeeeease, their voices are both strong, currently singing mary poppins, "ain't it a glorious day". They need a challenge, one has deeper voice than other but v tuneful together, any ideas suggestions, most welcome, dance could be tap or modern, not balletic as one doesn't like to point her toes!!!
Thank you
I dunno if it totally fits the bill, but "Bosom Buddies" from Mame could work.

For their solos, one sings Alexander's ragtime band, the other sings I'm a brass band, love the idea, good contrast.

"How The Other Half Lives" can definitely support a tap dance in the middle.
Sandra, there is quite a large listing on youtube if you type in "female duets from musicals". They range from some older shows to very current ones, "Ohio" "Who Will Love Me As I Am?" "Sisters", even "Take Me As I Am" from "Rent". If they can dance well, "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag".
Good luck, it should be some easy research that could be done quickly.
