We're doing a "Broadway Night" show at church and I'm in charge of getting a kids chorus, choir, whatever, to sing a song. The only thing I can come up with is "Consider Yourself at Home", and "Hard Knock Life." I know there was a children's chorus in Joseph, but they were mostly background singers. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Our Time from MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG sounds beautiful with a children's choir, and does Come to My Garden from THE SECRET GARDEN.
Does it have to have been sung by children or just appropriate for children?

I've been trying to think of songs just sung by kids, but I guess anything appropriate for kids to sing would work. I will probably have a group of 15-20, probably in the 8-12 year old range, boys and girls. Was Newsies ever on Broadway? Can't think of the song right now, but I remember I liked it - all the newsboys sang it.

Nope to Newsies.
"Happiness" from YAGMCB is one that immediately came to mind.

Well, pretty much every choir seems to have done "Seasons of Love". The only show I can think of right now with children would be Gypsy, so maybe "Let Me Entertain You"? Not the Act 2 version, obviously, but the Act 1 version would be a cute opening song. It's not really a choir/chorus song, but you can do "Comedy Tonight" if they can all learn the lyrics. My sister's choir did a Mamma Mia medley, and they might find a song from that fun to sing. It might be nice to do a song most of them know, so have to do a Disney song like "Circle of Life", or something from The Wizard of Oz, like "Follow the Yellow Brick Road". I hope this helps.

Years ago, I was in a children's theater and we did a concert of broadway pieces and one of the most entertaining and positive themed songs we did as a group was "It's not where you start, it's where you finish" from Seesaw. That's a cute happy song with a catchy tune and nothing objectionable. Along the same line of happy, catchy, and simple songs would be things like: "put on a happy face" (from bye bye birdie), "toot sweets" from Chitty chitty bang bang, or "Join the circus" or "Come follow the band" (from Barnum).
