I'd love to gather a list of show tunes that feature US towns and cities (but not NYC - that is a whole separate category!)
Examples: Big D (Dallas) from Most Happy Fella
or Gary, Indiana from The Music Man.

Well I don;t know if this is what your looking for, but they mention towns in various songs.
In Bye Bye Birdie, in Spanish Rose, they mention either Pittsburg or Allentown PA depending on which recording your are listening to.
I hope that helps if not, sorry and I will try to think of more.

Um..."The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" they mention Washington DC ("Winner's destination, Washington DC"). Does DC count as a city? Sure.
