The weirdest one I ever started humming was "Love Sneaks In" from DRS. I'm not a big fan of the song and I hadn't listened to the cast recording in ages, so I have no idea why it popped into my head.

anytime someone aske me where i'm going, without even thinking, i often answer:
"to the bookshop"
"losing my mind" from follies pops in my head a lot.
OH, on really beautiful days "the light in the piazza" pops in too
oh, and when i'm walking alone at night, i start singing, "and now i'm all alone again..."
hahaha. ok, thats all. i have lots of these. =)

I'm one of those incredibly annoying people who will launch into 'La Vie Boheme' from 'RENT' at ANY mention of ANYTHING that's referenced in the song. And there's a lot of references in there. O_o
Usually though, I find that the songs that get stuck in my head are the most inappropriate ones to start singing in a job where you work with the public - perennial favourites include pretty much everything from 'Avenue Q' and 'My Unfortunate Erection' from 'Spelling Bee' - or the ones I've been listening to a lot lately. So for me at the moment, it's some random ones from 'Assassins' (frustratingly, today it was the "Have it your way" monologue, of all things!) or 'Finishing The Hat' from 'Sunday In The Park With George'. ^_^

Whoever said Kansas City was spot on. I bust out "they've gone about as fer as they can go" at every opportunity.
I also do "It's fine, it's fine, it's fine" from A Miracle Can Happen L5Y all the time.
