Who saw SP on the View today? How did they do? I had a final today and couldn't watch the show.

Kelli and Paulo were terrific and though not all the camera work was stellar, I am glad they are at least rying to include some of the musicians (Ted Sperling was on piano and Peter Sachon on cello) because the music and the musicians are also a large part of this show's success.

Posted: 6/9/08 at 10:30pmI was kinda hoping to not like it, just because of all the hype...but it was a beautiful performance. I was really surprised and amazed they could pull off such intimacy during one of these live TV appearances.

I know how you feel. You don't want to get caught up in the hype and everything. But then you see something that makes you realize what a great production this is and how we're all so lucky it's currently running on Broadway.

Posted: 6/10/08 at 8:30pmAm I the only one who wanted a little more expression from Paulo? I haven't seen the show yet, and I know he's new to musical theatre, but there was so little change in expression I was put off. Singing was great but acting? Kelli on the other hand was lovely.
