I'm with adamgreer and steven22 on their feelings!!! I cannot wait to be in that audience tonight!! Today is going to DRAG so badly!!
And wickedrocks...for someone who really doesn't appear to care for the show (as evidenced by all your posts of the "with fans like this who needs haters" ilk), why do you keep going back? I'm really curious...

("ITH" was so amazing last year! ...day after the Tony Awards)
That's actually a little bit why I decided I needed a Tuesday after the Tonys show again this year- being at Heights last year the Tue after the Tonys was amazing!
I will be at WEST SIDE STORY with my entire family...and Karen Olivo had better get entrance applause (I will start it if I have to).
Yay! I mean, I'm sure she will, but my post-Tonys choice this year was between HAIR or Karen, which is why I'm all please people who will be there tell me all about her entrance tonight.

Watch an interview with her after she won...she really sounds sick. I wouldn't be surprised if she called out even though that would suck.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.

jordangirl, I love the show. I've been following it for a few years now and it's the best new musical of the year in my mind.
I just love BILLY as well. And my posts about the show are honestly just objective and attempts at being realistic without letting my personal opinions of the piece cloud my judgement. I don't think they're mean or degrading to the show (not that you said that but still...).
I just try not to let my personal thoughts on a show cloud my judgement. I try to be realistic and honest...and that's how I respond to N2N. Just like any other show.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put Trent on as Billy, seeing as though they've been favoring him. Looking forward to finding out who it is. Have a great time, wish I could be there!

Well, compared to Next to Normal and West Side Story apparently Hair was a little uneventful for the first post-Tonys show. Nicole Lewis was on for Saycon, otherwise no understudies.
Longer/louder applause than usual after the big numbers (I Got Life, Hair, of course Aquarius, etc.) In his "so you can call me..." dialogue after Aquarius Will started off with "Revival Berger," and so of course someone in the house yelled out "Tony Berger." Gavin needed a restart to his dialogue before Manchester, England that was hilarious, and I swear he slid more than halfway across the stage at the end of Hair in order to hit his mark next to Will. Characters who usually don't get 'entrance applause' got it tonight (off the top of my head, when they reveal Mother/Dad.), great crowd.
Can anyone who was dancing onstage at the end and who saw it tell me what the banner that was being held up in the mezz said? I swear it said 'God,' and I couldn't figure out if there was another part to it that I had missed, or if someone was just sitting at the revival of Hair, holding up a sign that said God.

My friend said Heather Locklear was in the audience (at HAIR), but that she left at intermission.

Amanda Woodward was at HAIR, and I missed her? Bummer.
John Stamos was also there tonight. As was an amazingly gorgeous Audra McDonald.
As well as a *lot* of children- I don't know if it was all families of the producers, etc. or what, but I saw more children at HAIR tonight then I've seen at any other time I've been there.

I grabbed a last-minute ticket to Hair as well...didn't see any of those people there, oh well. Maybe the cast messed up Heather's hair and she got pissed?
While it may not have had the same excitement as WSS or N2N, I still thought it was a really exciting performance. We all screamed as soon as the lights went out, and then at the beginning of Berger's monologue, someone in the mezz screamed out "Tony winners!" and everybody cheered, and the cast loved it, and the applause after "Hair" definitely lasted longer than usual.
Re: Gavin's monologue...I think he accidentally started with "my name is" instead of "I am a human being..." but then one of the tribe called something out after he said "My name is..." did anyone there hear what he said? Claude? Gavin? Whatever it was, Gavin & the cast & the audience cracked up, and then he started over.
And I got an added bonus of Will completely groping my hair, so that added to my excitement level.
But the cast was adorable at the stage door -- some of them said they still couldn't believe it, others were like "We danced with LIZA!," you could tell how much they loved performing and winning.
It was a great night, and a special performance (my first post-Tony performance, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I still thought it rocked).

yep, Gavin's dialogue started "My name...is a human being. Let me start that over shall I?" Hee. Will's face during that moment was my favorite.
