RoxieHart, I saw it at Duke as well a couple of days before it closed to move to Broadway. Just my opinion though.

The stage production of MARY POPPINS harkens back to the original novels by P.L. Travers. In those, Mary Poppins was extremely stern. Almost humorless. Think Betty Buckley at age 30.

i second the post that stated "i don't care what she does as long as she comes back!".

she is by far my favorite thing on broadway, and i can't wait for the opportunity to see her in another show

Millie was not Sutton's Broadway debut. She had been in several other ensembles before that.

Why? I'm sure she got decent money for it. It was a job. And an excellent role. The fact that the show didn't do so well shouldn't hurt her career at all. After all, she DID get a Tony nod for it, did she not?

I REALLY wish she would do the tour!!!! For the same reasons that have been posted. I also REALLY wish that she read this board and saw what ppl want to see her do.

I really think she should do the tour of "Little Women" cause believe it or not the first time I ever heard about her was when I started to come on this board...and she had already done TMM.

I think it would be in her best interest to go on tour with the show...that way more people would know who she is and when she went back to NY to do a new musical or a revival...people would really know who she was and would come see the show cause people would be familiar with her.

Its a smart choice in my opinion...I wouldn't take a break with a chance to get to be a bigger name..specially if you wanna make it on Broadway.

I really wish she would do the LW tour - at least for a few dates. I know it probably won't happen, but since I don't live in NY, I'll never get to see her.

When I saw the show on closing, she said she was definately tkaing the summer off and has no immediate plans of wroking right now and just wants to relax.

Sutton would do great in Tarzan as jane, but I'm not betting on Tarzan to be good.

I thought she was working on the role of Constance in The three Musketters...I'm not sure, but I think she was working on that show right now. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, she'd be a wonderful Helena! She could handle Hermia, I just think Helena lends itself to more comedy. What about Viola in Twelfth Night if we're taking the Shakespeare route?

I think if anything she should have done the Millie tour. She won the Tony right? I mean that made her a star. I would think that she wouldn't have any desire to tour a show that didn't get great reviews and is considered a flop. However, I would LOVE to see her do something with Hunter. I just think that would be so cool. I dunno what show, but something where the main two characters are brother/sister/best friends. It would just be weird if they were romantic leads - ha.

I would LOVE it if they adapted the aminated film Anastasia to stage with her as Anya/Anastasia! She would be perfect!

Sutton and Hunter both were in Snoopy the Musical, I think.

They were. It was a concert of Snoopy. He was Linus and she was Peppermint Patty.

Now i know this wouldn't be a lead role but in "sister Act" she would be perfect as the sister (the redhead in the movie) who is the meek singer then becomes this amazing singer with lots of confidence....

she's said in interviews that she wants something supporting anyway, to take the responsibility off her shoulders. I think that role in Sister Act might be fun, actually!

I don't see her going on tour again, becoming a replacement,or doing a revival for quite some time in her career -- what with having originated two leading roles just a few years apart.

I think she wants her next project to be a supporting role.

Maybe she should play Evelyn (the Selma Blair role) in Legally Blonde, The Musical.
