Does anyone think that this would work as a musical?

At this point I think anything would work as a musical,
it's just the marketability that it depends on.

Don't even joke about something like that! It puts the idea "out there" and next thing you know some idiot will go and write one!
Besides, we have more than enough musicals on Broadway right now that don't have real music in them.

Um, I don't know if Spaceballs would work, but I'd give anything to see a Broadway ensemble number of the famous campfire scene from "Blazing Saddles."

kyguy...that would be hilarious! It could be a hoedown type number with a dance break reminiscent of the one in Terrance and Phillip's song "Uncle ****a" from the South Park movie.

haha - I love that in a post about Spaceballs the musical that the focus was on marketing.
