Quick question (and yes I did search but only threads from 2005 popped up which really didn't help)
My friend and I are thinking about seeing Spamalot on Saturday November 18th at 2 pm and we were interested in the Standing Room tickets. Does anyone know how quickly these tickets sell out? Thank you :)

Posted: 11/6/07 at 10:00pmI still think they sell out relatively quickly when the box office opens - considering that they're sold as another ticket option...that is, the show doesn't have to be sold out for them to sell the spots.

I searched and am bumping up this ancient thread!
I have a friend that may be visiting me at the folks place in NJ and I'd love to bring her into NYC to see a show. She would love to see Spamalot and being of limited budget I was wondering how easy it is to get SRO tickets? Playbill says they sell 'em for all performances.
We'd be looking at the week after Christmas probably. With the show closing soon and the holiday, any thoughts/advice on how early I'd need to get to box office to get a couple of tickets? Also how is the standing room there? I've done standing room before, but never at that particular theater.

Posted: 12/7/08 at 4:18pmI did standing room for this three years ago and it was the final weekend for Tim Curry and Sara Ramirez, so I got there around 8:15 and was fifth in line. Granted I'm sure the demand will be a bit less, but it might not be because that is generally the busiest week of the year and the show is closing a few weeks later. I had a standing room spot just next to the board and thought the view was fine. You miss just a tiny bit at the beginning of the show when Robin and Lance first appear, but otherwise you pretty much see everything.
