I was looking through the instagram of a few cast members on the Aladdin tour and I noticed they didn't rehearse at new 42nd street studios, where the broadway production did rehearse at. The tours rehearsal location was at Germanic Place, which looked beautiful by the way, and it made wonder if there have been other more abstract rehearsal locations.

It is typical for a show to rehearse in NYC, in one of the usual studios. The Aladdin tour's Point of Organization is the city of Chicago, meaning they had to rehearse in Chicago. Germania Place has been the go-to for other Chicago-based shows as well (Wicked and Billy Elliot come to mind).

Yeah they rehearsed in Chicago, which, from a financial point of view seems odd - paying for all their hotel rooms for 2-3 weeks of rehearsal - but to each their own. Maybe it makes more sense than I think.

The AEA Point of Organization is Chicago, which means that the AEA company members do not receive housing or per diem while in Chicago.
