You probably saw the tour with Andrew Keenan-Bolger. This is a new Non-Equity tour.

It's a show that probably lends itself well to a non-equity cast. Young energetic newcomers like in Rent. The non-equity Rent tour was awesome and a few of them went equity after and did the show on Broadway so they can't be all bad. And technicially every performer on Broadway started out non-equity and was probably just as talented as they are now or at least showing that potential. The non-equity "issue" some people seem to have should not be about talent.

Non-equity tours are always hit or miss.
I saw an amazing non eq touring production of Oliver. The actors were all phenomenal, however I saw the current non eq tour of Hairspray and hated it.
I just depends.

Not true - those non-eq RENT guys that came to Broadway were horrible both before non-equity and after.

But anyhoo, I heard them rehearsing down the hall when I was at an audition, and they at least sounded good. And they looked like B-list versions of their Broadway selves, so I'm sure it'll be a good tour.

Just because we have differing opinions doesn't make either one of them "not true".

One is Equity and one isn't.

I literally just saw it today in Melbourne and it was wonderful! The jokes they made were hilarious and the cast was very strong with their vocals and acting.

I saw it last night in Rockford, and I thought it was fantastic! The Rona was really strong, as was Olive, Chip, and Leaf. A few things that happened at last nights show: When Rona introduced Panch, she said, "Our regular announcer (or whatever it is), Rod Blagojevich, is unable to be here tonight..." and it was great. Also, a one lady who went up was said to have won the "Liza Minelli look-a-like contest, and proceeded to spell "mexicans" wrong because she said s twice. Also (not sure if this is new or not) the line when Logainne was ranting, Panch said something like "And Rachel Maddow over here..."

Also, not going to lie, Nigel is a cutie in person, and is really nice.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I? I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
