My 10 year old daughter wants to see this really bad (we have been listening to the soundtrack non-stop for 2 weeks now) so I am taking her on Tuesday, 8/29 as a 'going back to school/end of summer' treat. My question is: should I try for the lottery and if I don't win run down to TKTS and hope it is on the board at that late hour or should I play it safe and go right to the TKTS booth in the afternoon and try to get them there first (has anyone noticed if it has been up there lately). In no way do I want to disappoint a 10 year old !!!! Thanks so much in advance for your advice.
You can always try the lottery, but there's never any guarantee it would be on TKTS. The theatre sells the side seats for $50, so you're probably better off with trying to purchase those.
I agree try the lottery then buy the 50 dollar seats. My friend got tickets that day for $50 and had great seats. It's a great show I saw it last month!

It's not that hard to win. So play and if you don't win then go to TKTS, because you'll get better seats there for the same price than the side seats. If it's not there, which is doubtful bring a discount code from broadwaybox or playbill.com.
