Anyone here have any info/news on the financial recoup of this show? I've read many online articles from at least a year ago of the show holding it's own financially and it's been strong in sales. Just wondering how much closer it's come to that $75 million.
I've seen the show (thankfully with Matthew James Thomas instead of Carney) and loved it. Had fun, no high expectations. Plain and simple fun.

The $85 million musical, which hasn’t returned one penny to its investors — including The Edge, an idiot for putting his own money in the show — is trying to hang on by casting a washed-up rock star to keep itself going through the dead months of January and February.
But consider the source....

There have been very few weeks where they hit 100% gross potential, and, since this spring, many weeks where they have been running at a loss (if the reported 1.2 million per week operating cost is believed to be accurate).
