I truly feel that people are getting way to excited about these SA auditions. No one in the cast is leaving anytime soon. This upcoming ECC is probably one of the those required 6 month calls. There are a lot of equity people, plus EMCs that non-equity probably have no chance of being seen. They just had all those huge open calls that they are not even planning on seeing and probably don't want to see non-equity. 1,200 people showed up in NYC for the open call. So I bet there will be loads of Equity people showing up for an EQUITY call! I am just saying...it is not like we know for a fact 5 or 6 cast members are leaving come September. If anyone is leaving it will be like one or 2 come the fall. And they have a good amount of talented people on file from when they had auditions back in Sept. for swings. So I would bet they have people they want as replacements already. And people are saying these are auditions could be for the tour....umm a tour going out in fall 2008? That is a over a year away. People they see now will get older, book other work..etc. so there is no way they are looking for that now. I guess what I am saying so I can end this rant..lol...Don't worry too much about going to the ECC. There are so many people they have on file already that are ready to enter the show, so many people they saw at the open calls, and so many Equity and EMCs. And no cast member is leaving the show anytime soon! So I guess you judge...

If you fit the age group and did not get typed out at the open call a few weeks back, what harm is there in attending the ECC? If really all depends on how many cards are given out that morning and if there is time to see non-eq. My guess would be that they will probably type the non-eq just like they did at the open call. So again if you did not go to that then give it a shot. It's always good if you can get seen by the casting folks as they have so many other projects going on. Just get there at the start time and see what's what. Plus remember that at a Chorus Call the EMC and non-equity folks are all the same. The EMC rule only applies to EPAs. Plus I honestly don't think there will be a ton of Equity folks because this age range is very specific which automatically puts a lot of people out. The casting folks have said numerous times if you are 30 but look 15 they do not want you because you have too much life experience.
Also Lauren tours do sometimes get cast 6-9 months before they go out, you just never know.
