"This show should be sent on tour directly to Broadway hell...where it should remain for all of time."
NICE... such a productive, meaningful comment.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 1:05pmI have a feeling this will be a big city tour, at least at first. I see long runs in San Fran, LA, Boston, Philly, Atlanta, etc.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 4:27pmWasn't the Wilbur sold? Or was that the Shubert? God I'm out of it.

Posted: 6/14/07 at 4:31pmThe Wilbur currently belongs to nobody. The producers of Spelling Bee leased it for their run, and since then it has been vacant. The Shubert still belongs to the Wang.....em, Citi Performing Arts Center.

Hopefully they'll cast in San Francisco
EDIT: According to the San Francisco chornicle, the show will play the Curran Theatre in 2008. It's a nice fit for this show.

I would agree, I think that the Orpheum or Golden Gate would be too big for the production. How is the Curran Theater, size wise, comparable to the Eugene O'Neill Theatre?

I don't know the numbers of the seats in each theatre, but I remember the orchestra section of the EO Theatre was some what similar to Curran. But EO doesn't have a balcony (third floor), only mezzanine section, I think. Curran is much better than GG or Orpheum. Did Jersey Boys raise the stage for the show? If not, the stage may be higher for Curran compared to ET.

They raised it a bit, not sure how high exactly but they raised it.
