hmm maybe Lilli was having an off day.
I bet that man had no clue Gerard was in the show...hm that shows you should watch what you say to people.
i had heard about the on-stage seats, but i still don't get it. where do you actually sit? on the side? towards the back? i'd love to see this show but unfortunately no one will take me. do they cost anymore than the regular seats?
ACT, I've heard parts of that story before, its nice to hear the whole thing. Audrey, you sit on the sides of the stage. There was a great NYT article about it with a picture that would give you a good view of it but, now you have to be member to view it.

I found the Playbill article about it. It kind of has a picture or the seats.

This is from their website and also has a picture:

I think that picture is from the off run because it looked a tad differnt.
I was going to post that picture but, I thought it was illegally taken. I didn't know it was on their website.

Yep, Skylar stomped on me too
I was so scared that I almost flew back into my seat.

Skylar better be careful or there is gonna be a lawsuit or something.
It would be really embarassing if you were in on on-stage seat and had to get up...I asked Robi Hager about it, and he said that no one onstage has gotten up yet!
Re: the story about some on-stage audience being asked to leave, wow! Being nasty about coughing BEFORE the show?? I'm glad that they are careful about the onstage folks...the wrong people could ruin the show!
So how restricted is the view from the onstage seats? I bought onstage seats for August, and we are pretty far upstage. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I have stage seats for my birthday in two weeks! I am very excited!

It's not that obstructed...you do see a lot of backs and side views of the actors but you do see them moving around a lot throughout the show so its fine..The second time I sat onstage I sat in CC13 and I loved it...I was able to see perfectly and was lucky enough to sit near some cast members

I've seen Awakening three times, all with on-stage seats...the first time, at the Atlantic, I was so blown away by the show and the music, that I was moving in my seat a lot to the beat, laughing a lot at the funny parts, and really just feeling it all. After the show, when I went to congratulate the cast members, Jon Groff told me I was the best on-stage audience member of all time because he so enjoyed seeing how I reacted to SA as he performed it. Since then, my daughter and I have run into him several times in NYC on the street and after other SA performances, and he always throws his arms around us and gives us a big hello. So I guess my advice would be not to be afraid to enjoy every minute, even if you're sitting up there; it is just the best experience....

dapaszoo,
The fact that you talked to a performer on stage during a performance, to me, is just wrong.
You are not suppose to talk to the performers.

I'm surprised the performer responded...I don't think that they are supposed to interact with the audience!
ALthough I did ask Robi if the ensemble people are allowed to talk to the audeince pre-show and at intermission...and he said yes, as long as it isn't disruptive.
POSSIBLR SPOILER AHEAD
Since they are supposed to blend with the audience at first, I wonder what they do if someone asks them how many times they have seen the show, or something? I guess they just make something up! Or do they 'fess up? I'm going next week, maybe I'll ask.
If it were me and someone asked if I'd seen the show before, I'd just say "ohhh, once or twice". Sarcasm is fun. :3
If you do ask an awkward pre-show question, do let us know how they respond. It's not that I want you to put anyone on the spot or try to catch anyone out, I'm also just intrigued as to how they'd reply. :3

do they cost anymore than the regular seats?
Actually, the on-stage seats are MUCH cheaper...they are only like $30! That is becasue they are considered limited-view..which they are, in a sense...
Oh by the way, it looks like the onstage seats are sold out til mid-August! If you plan to go this summer, snap them up QUICKLY!
If you do ask an awkward pre-show question
Actually, I meant I would ask them what they would do in that situation...not actually ask them an awkward question. Not to brag, but most of the on-stage ensemble already knows me, so that wouldn't work....Not sure if both the girls do, maybe I will ask one of them if they have seen the show before, or something...or maybe like "I hear this show sucks! Do you know if that's true???" hhahahahh
Oo I was just on the SA web site, and Groff has a new headshot! The old one was cute, but he looked about 15. J. Gallagher needs a new one, as well as my friend Robi Hager...theirs are terrible!
I'm seeing it August 22 (evening)row AA on stage!! whooo so excited!! I saw it in march in the mezzanine and I'm so excited to see it again from on stage!
It's a while away but I'll be sure to tell you about!
(p.s. I just bought this ticket like, 2 seconds ago, so they must still have lots after this date!)
Well, that works too. As long as we find out how they deal with it! *is curiously nosy on this front today*
Loving Groff's new headshot; the old one just didn't flatter him at all IMHO!

I wouldn't want to sit onstage for this show. The actors shouldn't have to see up close how bored I am. They really ought to reconsider re-staging the beginning of act two so that those on the other side of the stage could see Gideon's ass

During the intermission, can people who are sitting onstage get up and walk around (bathroom, etc.)?
Also, where on the myspace page is the detailed seating chart?
"During the intermission, can people who are sitting onstage get up and walk around (bathroom, etc.)?"
Yes, they are actually encouraged to get up during intermission.
"Also, where on the myspace page is the detailed seating chart?"
The seating chart should be on the main page. Ill have to check.
I believe you can. I read somewhere that you (obviously) can't bring food and drink on to the stage after intermission.

Thanks! I looked on the myspace page and didn't see it, but maybe I went to the wrong page? Is it www.myspace.com/springawakeningonbroadway?
Thats the right page. I guess it was taken off, thats interesting.
