If I were to get into the city in about an hour do you think I would be able to get two student rush seats to SPRING AWAKENING? I haven't been on the boards much recently and couldn't find anything in a search. Thanks in advance!
anyone been this week?
what difference does it make to go on a wednesday, since there are two performances.

There isn't two performances on a Wednesday.
And I haven't been in a few weeks but my friends went on saturday and they said that it was really crowded really early. So I'd suggest getting there at 8 on a saturday. Not sure for weekdays though I would assume it's less crowded.
I was there last week (twice) and it was pretty good. I got there not much before 9 and was not too far back in line. They have at least 50 seats available (I'm not sure if that includes standing room or not). I'd say if you wanna guarantee good seats get there 9:30 or even earlier.

So, would it be pointless for me to try and get rush tickets at this point? If I leave now at 11 am? (It takes about 15 mins to get there).
Or is it worth a try?
I want to see this on Friday. has it regularly been at tkts for the past few weeks?
Yes...it's been at TKTS.

If you want to guarentee fairly good seats, get there around 8:30.
For some reason they sell farther back and then move up. Like the people in front got Row F, and then I got E.
Also, ask for right side partial view. I've done both right and left and what you miss on the left is so much more than is lost on the right.
I got there a little before 10 on Sunday and the line was so long we didn't even bother.
I wish theatre owners would use the "restoration fees" that we pay to replace and/or reposition every seat in the theatres so that each offers a full view of the stage. The Biltmore did exactly that with its renovation a few years ago, and now every single seat has a full view.

Was the line more than 50 people?
I didn't count the people, but I would gather so, especially since some of them still had others meeting up with them.
The obstructed view seats start from further back because the view is supposedly a little better.
I plan on rushing this show on sunday while I'm in the city and I'm planning on getting there at 8:30am. Is that a good time or would anyone recommend another time?
Thank you very much, I'm very excited to see this show and to feel the energy everybody keeps talking about.
You're welcome. Have fun and I hope you enjoy the show!
