Stage Door question
Stage Door question#1

My friend and I are going back to New York March 18-22 and I was just wondering about the stage doors for Grease, Young Frankenstein, Little Mermaid, and Spamalot.
Mostly just wondering who comes out to sign after the shows. I've heard a lot of the cast of YF hasn't been signing, so I'm curious to hear about other people's experiences at these shows.

Wow! That poster from Youtube has seen the show a few times already.
Nice of him to ask them to sing to the guy who plays Prince Herbert.

I went to YF a few weeks ago on a Wednesday matinee and Andrea Martin and Shuler Hensley were the only ones to come out. When I saw Little Mermaid that night almost everyone came out. I think the only noticeable absences were Sean Palmer (he managed to walk right past everyone) and Tituss Burgess.
Hope you have a great time in New York!

Posted: 2/7/08 at 8:04amI know a couple of weeks ago at Grease they have one of those life-sized cutouts of Max and Laura so you can take your picture with that if they don't come out.

Posted: 2/7/08 at 8:20amI know Clay has a lot of older female fans, but I had to laugh at a recent TMZ video where the accompanying blurb made fun of all the middle aged women getting Clay's autograph at the stage door, but the actual video showed mostly young girls. Either they didn't actually watch the video, or they simply didn't care that they were wrong.

Missnyc,
I know for sure we're seeing an evening show, but I think we're going either Wednesday or Thursday, not sure which.
If I can get Roger and Chris, I'd be extremely happy.
I had heard, though, that lately the only ones coming out to sign, even after matinees, are Andrea and Shuler.

Well this makes me frown.
I was afraid that Megan wouldn't come out after matinees.
I'm going with a theatre class in april to the last ever matinee performance of YF and I was really hoping to meet her afterward.
Ah, well!

Correct me if I'm wrong, this is what my theatre director told me.
Young Frankenstein will no longer be doing matinee's during the week, or something to that effect. The last matinee they are doing is the show my troupe is going to, and that's sometime mid-April.

Where the hell did your theatre director get that from?
On the subject of Clay and the Spam door, I just went this past Tuesday and it wasn't packed, there was alot of people but it wasn't a huge crowd like the last day of Boy From Oz was. Clay and Rick Holmes were the only two that stopped and signed that night.
That sucks that not everyone from YF comes out after a matinee but it's understandable. Here's to hoping it's different when I go to try lotto next month and hopefully get tickets.

tgn915, tickets for "Young Frankenstein" are currently on sale through September....including Wednesday matinees. So, your theatre director is incorrect with his information.
A word of advice........if it doesn't make sense, it's not true.
