Met so many at the stage door . . .and never a negative experience, at least, not really.
The stand-outs, though of being exceptionally nice and totally friendly: Petula Clark; Julia Murney; Lisa Brescia; Annaleigh Ashton; Tim Curry (always); Adam Pascal; the cast of "Rent" [before Adam and Anthony came back]; "Les Miserables" cast; London cast of "Wicked" [w/Cassidy Jansen as "Elphaba"] and actually, the whole cast of "Spamalot" in London; especially Hannah Waddington.
The more "professional" were: Julie Andrews (except you couldn't get near her [so much security and we were blocked quite a few feet away] to know if she was great or not); Shaun Cassidy; Bob Saget; and Anthony Rapp (probably overwhelmed by the crazy crowd, though -- and he was very nice, just seem overwhelmed more than Adam)

Posted: 12/7/07 at 4:28pmThe 4 original Jersey Boys are SO sweet and personal. They stood and talked to me for such a long time. Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp are complete dolls, and Anthony's just like Mark Cohen! I LOVE them. And my best stage door experience happened a few months ago when me and my family took my sister to see Lance Bass in Hairspray. Because she was such a big fan he invited my whole family to come backstage and visit with him after the show. It was awesome!!!

lets see.
When I saw Wicked it was Megan Hilty'
s first show ever as Galina (she was still an understudy then). She made a joke about turning your playbills to the last page if you wanted her to sign by her picture. She was so bright and bubbly and so so kind. Taye Diggs walked past and went inside, he stopped and smiled for a second.
After seeing Rent once, I happened to be in the theatre lobby when Matt Caplan exited through the house doors once and i asked him for an autograph. He said sure, and i turned around to take the pen from my brother, and i turned back around and Matt was gone.
Out of the cast of Legally Blonde, I agree that Kate Shindle was the kindest and most personable. Nikki Snelson was very fun also, making jokes as she went down the line, and she agreed to let me take a picture with her abs. She then made a comment to the line that i was the "funniest, ballsiest 15 year old" she'd ever met. Laura Bell Bundy did not come out after our show, neither did Orfeh or any of the three girls.
When I saw Mary Poppins, Gavin Lee was so kind and personable, even though he seemed very tired. He posed for pictures with everyone. He responded to comments/questions. Ashley Brown also signed and posed for everyone, but was not as talkative. I figured she was saving her voice though.
Now, as some of you may know, the stage door for Mary Poppins and for Rent are across the street from each other, so after I got Ashley and Gavin's signatures, I turned around and heard screaming. I ran over to see Adam sing about 15 autographs and go back into the theatre. Anthony however, was out for a good five minutes, signing away. granted the only pictures anyone got of either of them were taken while they were signing, but Adam left me with a not so good impression.

My guess for the nameless person is Constantine.
Yep.
I forgot Gavin Lee. He was SUCH a sweetheart.

My favourite cast at the Stage Door were the Spring Awakening cast, who were all so lovely and stayed around to talk for ages. Most of the people I have met at stage doors have been really friendly.
I have to say, even if Laura Bell Bundy has a reputation as not being friendly, it was raining when I went to see it and she still came out looking freezing but still was really lovely.
I saw Rent twice with Adam & Anthony while I was in New York, and Anthony couldn't have been nicer, whereas I was really disappointed that Adam didn't come out either time, although the mob was a little offputting.
Other people who were really friendly were Julia Murney, and the whole cast of Curtains.

The stand-outs, though of being exceptionally nice and totally friendly... Annaleigh Ashton
If these people were such "stand-outs" to you, the least you could do is remember their last names.
