How do you apply for this? Anyone know who's been there or something?
For next summer I'm trying out for Interlochen and Stagedoor Manor and I know Interlochen requires the audition tape, but what about SM?
Thanks
And for anyone who went for the Musical program, how was it?
Stagedoor doesn't involve an audition song, just an ENORMOUS amount of money :)
Oh..is it more expensive than INterlochen? The program I want to do there is around 3000$..the workshop.
Know how much Stagedoor is?
Check their website...?
Yes, finally found it on their website..its listed only on the APplication.
Wow, yeah that's a lot more expensive than Interlochen and seemingly more exclusive with only 26 campers per show...Thanks all.
I hear it's not only limited to Musical Theatre, however. They have some other extracurricular activities.

I did a summer program that was $7,000 for 6 weeks....anyways, i had some friends that did stagedoor, and they said it was really dirty.
Oh..good to know..
Yeah I think I'm just trying for Interlochen then..and if I dont get in (highly DOUBT I will) I'll try for something else too

I went to Stagedoor back in the 80's (yes, I am old...hee, hee), but I had some of the best summers of my life there. It is very expensive, but I enjoyed the training and the productions there. (I am a strong dancer who sings). I am still in touch with a lot of people 20 years later.....so many have succeeded in the industry. It is impressive. I am sure Interlochen has an excellent program too.....
I went to stagedoor in 1997 and 2000. I didn't have large roles, but I had a lot of fun.
I didn't really think it was dirty...much cleaner than my college dorms.
Two of my friends have gone. One last year and one this year! They loved it! I only wish I could go but that would mean giving up colledge tuition and car money. But it looks like super fun!!!!!!!!

I'm a Stagedoor camper, and am going to 3rd session in about three weeks. I would highly recommend signing up for this program. You are constantly surrounded by the most talented people and you learn so much. Not to mention the experience is incredible, and the shows always turn out wonderfully.
My only regret is that I found out about this camp so late in high school.
An audition tape is not required, and I promise, its not dirty. :)

A couple of my freinds are at Interlochen right now, one had been before and he loved it.
stagedoor manor is incredible! i just came back from 1st session and i had the best summer of my life. it was an incredible experience to be surrounded by such talented people. the friends and experiences you have there are uncomparable to other programs. they puton 13 shows each session, half dramas, half musicals, and they have many classes to choose from. also the "best of the best" are featured in the long-time traditional cabaret tyle show and starting this year a brand new actors showcase. the creative teams there are amazingly talented and kind people, amd while the facilities aren't dirty, they are 30 years old. however, remember its still a summer camp! but an amazing one at that. i miss it so much!
