frenchwoods, long lake, stagedoor manor...pfff.
it's ALL about the BROADWAY THEATRE PROJECT, run by Ann Reinking! It has soooo many amazing guest artists and alumni, and it is an all round awesome experience. It is by audition only, so the talent there is also astonishing.

Posted: 12/12/04 at 8:33pmI went to Stagedoor for two summers (one session each time). The first year I was in the chorus of "42nd Street" (even though I can't dance at ALL), and then I was Ernst to Natalie Portman's Sally in "Cabaret" (this was of course before she became famous). This was what, over eight years ago now? It was fun. I highly recommend it.

I was in West Side Story and JC Superstar this past summer. Best place on earth! The list of some of the past shows we did this summer:
sweeney Todd, West Side Story, 42nd Street, Oliver, A Little Night music, Nine, Music Man, The Mikado, Guys and Dolls, the Secret Garden, JC superstar, Oklahoma, Grease, Starting Here Starting Now, Hair, Children of Eden, Babes in Arms
The Laramie Project, The Women, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Odd Couple, Vampyre, The Young and Fair, and tons of others! Pretty damn good list if I do ay so myself.

OK So I want to put my input in...I did last night too on the I'm so jealous topic thread. I went summer of 2001 3rd session when I was kinda in the start of my love for broadway. It might just have been my talent level of the fact that I had this terrible cough the whole time I was there, or just didn't get along with my roomates, or only went one summer, but I really just didn't feel I was able to get the full experience that I saw so many other people get.
I was in State Fair and at least like got into this little barbershop quartet thingie (with female farmers too) but I could tell that the people in our show were not the best performers at the camp. All the greats were put into 42nd Street and Merrily (which I always saw performing across the pool and caught the last few minutes of their performances after our performances and now TOTALLY love!)
Anyone got any thing to say about that from the other perspective? Like the 5-8 yearers seeing newbies not getting the big chances?

Tragic? No!
It was not the best movie. But the musical numbers were very enjoyable, and a few moments had wit.
Especially, PARAPHRASING:

You probably don't remember me, we were in night mother together
