Standing Ovations 4 reviews! Now with pictures!

Just got home, what a great concert!

My highlight was Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal singing What You Own from Rent :)

You all can see the list of performers on the site. Other favs of mine included Andrea McArdle, the Urchins from Little Shop (plus Anthony Rapp and Jessica Snow Wilson in Skid Row), and if you were there, the Rocky Horror interactive piece. Hopefully Craig and Rob will show a little mercy and edit me out of those...

The afterparty is still going on, I just had to come home, so I'm sure lots more reviews will be coming in throughout the night. And I have lots of pictures and a few videos I took that I will try to post.

It was also wonderful to meet so many people from BWW!

Rob, Eddie and Richard, Congratulations on the best SO program so far. From the fantabulous opening number through nearly two and a half intermissionless hours, the talent and highest calibre material did not end. Joe's was electtric, and at the the after-party there was hardly room to breathe, it was so crowded. Of of BWW's own, Liotte (Diva only go by one name, you know), made her stage debut with no preparation but was a wow! all the same. Darcie Denkert's terrific book, "A Fine Romance," on the marriage of Broadway and Hollywood, should be on everyone's holiday gift list.

What a super, super night!

You did it!!

Anyone have a list of who sung what??

When's the DVD coming out?! re: Standing Ovations 4 reviews! What a great night! I'd like to have THAT for Christmas!!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Congrats on what sounds like a wonderful evening! I only wish I could have been there. Can't wait to read some more reviews, and see some pics on the site (maybe tomorrow?)!

Seriously. What a bargain. Amazing performances, including hearing Ms. Melba Moore sing songs from Hair, PLUS a take home gift of a book about Broadway and Hollywood.

I've been to all of the SO concerts, and this was easily the best. Good job!

It sounds like it was amazing. I can't wait to hear more and see videos.

A complete movie to buy would be wonderful.

re: Standing Ovations 4 reviews! What a great night!

It certainly was an outstanding evening, and as far as I could tell, the video camera was on non-stop, so let's hope for plenty of replays.

Liotte was kind enough to make space for Emcee and me at her table, so I hope she won't mind if I describe her Joe's Pub debut. Early on, one of the performers had the house lights turned on and chose a guy (Glen) and a girl (liotte) from the audience. They came up on stage, were given jackets, glasses, a purse and a hairclip, and were then hilariously assaulted by a performer doing Frankenfurter from Rocky Horror. This guy was great, though none of us knew who he was. He later came on and did a very funny impression of Barbra Streisand, along with some uncannily accurate vocal interpretations of her.

Ok- if someone (and I hope this is ok craig!) can tell me how to get the video clips from my hard drive onto the internet and make links, people can watch What You Own and Skid Row.

Someone send me an IM or PM please so everyone can see!

All the songs were classic musical theatre songs, plus one song from RENT (hehehe).

Lea sang two songs from OLIVER! "Where is Love?" and "As Long As He Needs Me."

Well, I don't think it's any surprise what I'd consider to be the highlight of the evening. It was so, so indescribably good to have Adam back on stage. What You Own was just totally electrifying.

I think there are just too many great moments to list -- so many of my favorite people, and so many of my favorite songs... watching it all with so many of my favorite people (and a party! I never go to parties!). What better way to spend an evening than surrounded by people you love and hearing endless showtunes? re: Standing Ovations 4 reviews! What a great night!

I am *so* thrilled that I was able to snag a ticket and make it. Go team!
