Now I feel like a slug because, when Carol Channing brought "Hello, Dolly" to Pittsburgh before it went back to Broadway, we only gave her two standing ovations. When she appeared at the top of the stairs for the title number and again at curtain calls.
But, both times they were heartfelt.
