I decided to try the wicked lottery again today so I could take my mom to see it. As the woman was calling names I hear "Stephanie Block". I think, how funny is that, they have the same name, then I look behind me and there was Stephanie J. Block coming through the crowd, still with a little green in her hair, at that point she said "I couldn't even get tickets!". lol, it was very funny. Afterwards I got to meet her and tell her how good she is, and she was super sweet. I didn't win but at least I got to meet her.
Hi-larious! Love that story!

so did she do it as a joke?
I didn't win at the lottery. Do you think it was rigged?
LOL! That's GREAT! Good story!
She was with some guy, so im assuming she was going with him. I would think it would be hard to rig something like that. But what do i know, im just a humble theater goer.

im still confused...call me stupid its fine
was she getting tix for her friend then..or for herself..if so who performed?
well i heard that she is on a 1 show a day schedule because she is still recovering from her injury, so one of the understudies will probably go on. The show dosent actually start for another 20 minutes, so i dont know who will go on.

That is funny but don't the actors expecially the stars get tickets? That is what I thought.
That's hysterical!
That's so cute. It's funny that there'll be people sitting in the theater before the show who will probably be like "Wow, that looks a lot like Stephanie!" And then when her understudy goes on there'll probably be a frantic rush to her seat during intermission or something. How weird though when you think about it- Stephanie mingling in the lobby during intermission. Or being in line behind her for the bathroom or something. "Hey, weren't you supposed to be up there? Could you sign this toilet paper square for me?" Haha.

It is funny. But it is like mixing business with pleasure. I wonder what she thought of the show like if she could actually sit down and relax or was noticing mistakes, etc. I hope she had a great time!

Well, when i went to wicked in NY, there were about 3 or 4 enseble members in the lotto and said that they can;t get tickets b/c the show was sold out. I guess its the same for Stephanie.
awwwwww. That's really cute. I'm kind of surprised that she couldn't get tickets, though!

They do hold seats for the company. They usually can only get this seats about 3 days before, depending on how well the show is sold. So, obvioulsy if it's selling out they have to get them way in advanced.
They do hold house seats but there are a finite number and once they are gone- u go whatever route u hafta to get seats.(I know in Hairspray in TO the house seats were offered in rotation to cast members who offered them (FULL PRICE MIND U)to friends/family.)

I saw The Producers at the same theater - Pantages in LA - as a guest of a company member who was able to get me tickets 36 hours before curtain, and the show was definately sold out (and near the end of the run). Maybe it depends on the show?
Fun story though!
That's funny.
Wow, that is sooo funny! I would have yelled "FIXED!"
How many people were at the lottery, and what show did you go to?
Yes, wicked is more hard to come by then producers I would say (I waited to long to see the producers at the pantages
