Posted: 2/24/05 at 9:54pmIt could be... recently, Tonya Pinkins and numerous cast members revived their roles for the LA staging of CAROLONE, OR CHANGE... Matt Morrison and Marissa Jaret Winokur reprised their HAIRSPRAY roles when the tour stopped in LA... also, Wayne Brady was supposed to do Billy Flynn in CHICAGO after his stint in the Broadway run (but then cancelled). I wouldn't be suprised if Idina did do Elphie again...

As far as I know Stephanie will be doing L.A. She is contracted for a year.

Posted: 3/5/05 at 6:29pmAs much as I love Idina Menzel, I hope that rumor isnt true because I am really looking foward to seeing Stephanie as Elphaba when the tour comes to LA. If the rumor does turn out to be true, I hope it is only for part of their run in LA so I could see both. Now that would be perfect!

Posted: 3/6/05 at 12:29amWell I dont know about her in Wicked but I heard those clips from Scott Alan's site and I could seriously see her doing a killer Elphaba. She has the most amazing voice and I am now even more excited to see her in the tour!

Posted: 3/6/05 at 11:47amAfter posting in another thread that I hoped that Stephanie would not be robbed of her chance to play Elphaba in her home base (she's been starring in shows in the L.A. area since the early 90s when I saw her in Funny Girl), I received the following email from someone on the board who is apparently in the know. "I'm not sure about KC as Glinda in LA, but I can assure you that Stephanie will for absolutely sure be doing LA. Idina has already waived her first right of refusal." Sounds good to me.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 5:33pmThey are all contracted to stay in the show for a year before they have to option to renew their contracts or leave. So if they do come to florida in the next year then yes, they'd all be in it.
