I have a funny story about her! My vocal coach plays piano for all of the national touring companies that come through Houston. Stephanie Powers had this little yip-yap dog that she lets run around the theatre. No one liked it, but they didn't complain because, hello, it was Stephanie Powers' dog. Well, during intermission, my vocal coach opened the door to the Green Room, and the dog was standing right behind it! She hit the thing pretty hard, too! Well, of course, Stephanie freaked out about it, and, since it was a matinee, had someone run her to the vet to look her over. She was fine though, and Stephanie was pretty nice to my vocal coach, too.
I thought Stephanie was okay in the role. She was a little old for the part, but still enjoyable.
