I was kind of hoping Jenna would scamper on over to the Broadway company. But I'm very happy with Cristy Candler in the role right now. So, it's all good.
Has Stephanie ever expressed interest of bringing her green gal to New York? I know she chose the tour over replacing Idina, but that was a while back. Not that Eden isn't perfection in the role, but I like to see everyone's interpretation.

Wow, Saycon going in for the tour...that's something I have never thought about. Do you think they would? It actually kind of makes sense, logistically speaking; I'm just hoping if she does go, critics receive her as well as they did SJB.

You know it really wouldn't suprise me if either Saycon or even.....now when I say this persons name don't jump down my throat....okay here goes. It wouldn't suprise me if Shoshana Bean went to the tour.

Umasked - that is quite a theory you have there but crazier things have happened. Shoshana's said she wants to come out to CA to persue her recording career so maybe further down the line when the tour is back here... but I don't think she'd take over the tour so soon after leaving the show in NY.

It has not officially been released yet, but Julia Murney will be taking over as Elphaba on the tour.

Saycon is not going to the tour.
As the previous poster said, although it's not official, it is in fact going to be Julia Murney, who I think will do a FANTASTIC job.

Perhaps someone who is going to TL5Y in L.A. this month could ask her personally? It's still a rumor but I must say it's looking like there may be some truth to it.

Yes, it is indeed a fact. I work in the biz and I am acquainted with both Julia and her sister.

aww! JLG is leaving?!
!
I was perhaps going to see it in Philly, but am not so sure anymore with this absence of JLG and Steph.
Unless Julia Murney takes over... hm. that would be amazing.
any news on who will be replacing Stephanie, especially now that Jenna will be gone as well?

When you do find out if the Fox is going to have a lotto in ATL, I'd appreciate it if you would let us all know. Thanks.

I've been saying since there was first mention of replacing Idina that Julia Murney needed to play this role - I'll be sooo happy if it's finally happening...
although, I've been lucky enough to see Julia perform live since that initial suggestion, and as much as I looove her, she makes some really akward faces when she performs - she almost looks uncomfortable
Maybe it was just the role - ?
Regardless, I'm still crossing my fingers that this is true as I'm waiting to hear if the replacement (and cast at that time as I'm hearing JLG and more will be gone by this summer when it comes my way) is anywhere near exciting before purchasing my tix...
those that know of this (aka the few that posted this info as unofficial but true), do you know when it's going to be official/announced?

As far as replacement rumors...
Julia Murney is pretty solid now it looks. I am more than thrilled. I love Julia, and I think she's going to be an AMAZING Elphaba. Her rendition of "People" from the "Funny Girl" benefit gets me everytime.
In regards to Glinda, I have heard both understudy Emily Rozek and Chicago's Kate Reinders' names mentioned. Who knows?
With Nessa, it is pretty well established now that Jenna will head to Broadway shortly after she leaves. Supposedly, Cristy Candler may switch with her and come to tour.
Nothing is for sure, but expect an announcement at the middle of next month.
