Steve Kazee out of Once again last night?

I know this has been discussed to death, but I can't seem to find any definite answers, only speculation. Did anyone see 'Once' last night? Did Steve return for the beginning of his final week? Or is just a known fact that he will 100% NOT be returning at any point during his final week?
I am willling to buy full priced tickets, but am hesitating because of this lack of information. Thank you!

'Cause sometimes a thread can be super long, not have the answer you're looking for, go off on tangents about Ethel Merman and are filled with pictures like the one you posted above.

That thread about Steve got that way because moderators kept deleting people's speculation as to why Steve is out of the show. In any case, it doesn't matter why Steve is out of the show. It seems that he is not returning to the show unless someone states otherwise. He hasn't been around the theater as far as anyone knows, so it's very unlikely he will be back for any more shows this official final week.

The mods did not delete the "speculation" because it was "speculation". They mostly deleted insults lobbed at a past relationship/girlfriend that were irrelevant, unnecessary, and gross. Other speculations are still there, after all.

To the OP, I wouldn't bet money on him being in it this week.

There was another issue besides the dating thing that got deleted faster every time someone posted it. The speculation about his voice wasn't deleted, but I'm not sure that's any less damaging, because he makes a living with his voice. In any case, no one knows why he's been out for weeks. And the poster of this thread wanted to know if Steve will be back for his final week. He's been away so long he would need at least some rehearsal, and since no one has seen him around, it's just not likely he'll be back in the show. So, people who want to see him specifically shouldn't inconvenience themselves or waste money. Or at least wait a day or two to see if there's any possibility at all (which is unlikely).

He was not in the show last night. There was a camera crew inside the theatre though. Wonder what that was about...

The show was great and my theatre companion (who had not seen Steve Kazee) loved Ben Hope. I also liked him and appreciated his different take on the role.

See the show this week for Cristin, Elizabeth, and Will, who are all leaving on Sunday as well. They are wonderful as ever.

Cameras were there for the anniversary. Probably also to get some footage of the new leads since Steve wasn't in last night.
