Great cast! Always wanted Laura to be Julie. Nice to see Jenn Gambatese back on the NY stage. Audra will always be my favorite Carrie, though. Fingers crossed that it will transfer. :)

Jarrod Emick. Wow. Great talent there, as well. Wish I could see this one. Saw him in Damn Yankees and Saigon. The guy is mind-boggling good.
As to another topic brought up here.
Far from a prude here, but throwing nudity into a musical like South Pacific is a little too contrived for me. It's like, we can throw nudity onto the stage now, so let's do it. Even if it isn't necessary. And even if it is a classic that doesn't require it.
Okay, so guys taking a shower in the military isn't out of the ordinary. It happens.
But using it as some sort of humorous distraction in a show like South Pacific isn't necessary.
And again, a bit contrived, IMO.
So hopefully we don't hear that in this rendition of Carousel, Billy Bigelow comes wandering out at the beginning of the show during the "Carousel Waltz," naked, just out of the shower, and says, "Whoops…didn't know anyone was here yet."
