sorry, it is a stereotype, but i'm just going by the many guys i have met. the gay ones have messenger bags and the straight ones have a backpack or no bag at all. just going by experience.

there *definitely* will be some straight guys with messenger bags and some gay guys with backpacks or no bags.

I wear a backpack when I'm at school.
I wear my messenger bag when I'm out on the town, theatre...
Except, I'm more prone to calling it my murse (man+purse)
