We've all made that mistake at least once, I'm sure.

And I hope they offer even a few free or "reasonably" priced tickets to his event honoring The "Public" Theater.

Seeing it is a Fund Raiser I doubt there will be free tickets. To present free Shakespear in the Park takes a lot of bucks.

The article said there will be a limited number of free standby tickets.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

According to the Public's Facebook page, no more stand-by tickets: "Due to the extraordinary demand for tickets to Monday's Benefit Gala, we no longer have seats available to distribute to non-ticket buyers. There will be no standby line."

In other words, the Public goofed the headcount and Streep and Kline's agents asked for more tickets.

It's sad that the Public Theatre has lost its mission of making theater accessible to the public.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Don't assume anything yet.
