Strike Tomorrow

Posted: 11/12/07 at 11:42amI have tickets to Is He Dead, is it worth it for me to purchase tickets for Maritius and be fairly sure that I won't be paying twice. As in the strike won't end tomorrow.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 11:49amThe union and League are not even talking right now and haven't even scheduled any meetings in the near future, and the strike CAN'T end until the two sides start talking again, so no the strike won't be over by tomorrow (or any time soon), so yes, you should go ahead and get tix for Mauritius if that's what you want to see.

No idea, but, given all the posturing and attitude on both sides (and millions both have in reserve) and the fact that they don't look like they're even planning to sit down and resume talks any time soon, I think you can totally forget Thanksgiving.
Hopefully it'll be over by Xmas.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 12:05pmThanks. I have family coming in from DC this weekend (we have Wicked tickets that they paid a LOT for), and I don't want to get stuck with two sets of thix.

Hey
I was wondering have you told your family what is going on, if they don't know already. I would call the theatre and ask what you can do because I don't know there policy about their tickets. So I would call and find out what they are doing about tickets. I would also if can't get your answer there, once the strike is over you might be able to sell them online and ask what you payed for That is my suggestion.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 12:19pmAt the moment, we're just trying to decide whether or not to risk having two sets of tickets. The refund won't be a problem if the strike is still on this weekend.

It's really too sad that you have been put out by paying a LOT for tickets to a show.

Calling the box office isn't an option because
a) box office numbers are unlisted; and
b) even if you had the number, box office personnel are also observing the picket line, so no one would be there to answer the phone anyway.
And who would be stupid enough to buy expired tickets from him over the internet after the strike is over?
If you bought the tix through Ticketmaster, they will automatically refund your credit card.
If you bought them through another source, call them to see about the refund.

Hey, babe. Hope all is well.
That mew5317 person has me totally confused.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 12:33pmI'm assuming he/she meant to exchange the tickets and then try to sell them...but that seems to be a lot of unnecessary trouble when you can easily just get a refund.
