Stubhub Question

I am planning on using Stubhub for Dear Evan Hansen tickets if the prices go down closer to the performance. My question is, are all tickets on Stubhub legit? I'm seeing over 300 tickets on there for some performances. Isn't that rather high? Are ticket brokers/scalpers really snatching up that many tickets for performances? This just seems super high to me, so wondering about the legitimacy of all those tickets. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Joe! I did read that on their info. I was just amazed that so many tickets were available there, so was still slightly skeptical.

Don't have an answer, but I noticed this too (although I did lots of research myself and it keeps coming up as legit). It makes me angry for a show say like Dear Evan Hansen is so hard to get tickets for, and then StubHub (and other sites) are hogging the tickets (and of course selling for much higher or playing chicken waiting for seats last minute). It's catch-22.

As others gave me advice on here...try the 4 day trick. Start looking on telecharge and keep looking. Hopefully DEH tickets will pop up as available.

Thanks Mmfan and Brody, I appreciate the advice. I didn't think the show would be selling this well when I finally decided to look for tickets a few months ago.Hopefully something will pop up on Telecharge closer to the show. I'd prefer to go directly through them.

I believe it's 10% in fees but I could be wrong.

I purchased DEH tickets through StubHub for a performance last weekend. I had checked Telecharge regularly a few days before the show but the $399 tickets were the only ones that emerged. One thing to keep in mind with StubHub prices for DEH is that the scalpers bought their tickets before the production raised prices. So, it's not all that difficult to get tickets for the show through StubHub that are close to current pricing. I got row B left mezzanine seats 11 and 13 for $209 each + fees (just over $500 for the pair) a day before the show. And that seemed fairly typical. Those would run you $189 or $199 each from the box office under the current pricing scheme, and the seats right next to them (closer to the center aisle) are now premium $400 seats. I'll add that when I use StubHub, I always get to the theatre early (like get in line by 7:20 for 8pm show) in case there is a problem with the tickets that I need to address with StubHub.

There have also been reports on here of a group of people queuing up in person at the box office and just buying the maximum number of tickets with cash, and then getting in back of the line and doing it again.
