Studio 54 seating for Kiss Me Kate

I'd like to see Kiss Me Kate during previews next year. It will be my first time seeing a show at Studio 54.

Generally speaking, how is the mezz/rear mezz at Studio 54? It looks like a small, intimate theater, but I'm wondering what other's experiences have been.

If you're over 5' tall, sitting in the rear mezz at Studio 54 is like being in a torture chamber. If you MUST sit up there, be sure and at least get an aisle seat.

Thank you for the warning! Is the front mezz any better? If not, I may just spring for an orchestra seat.

Front mezzo is MILES better.

I sat rear mezz for both She Loves Me and Lifespan of a Fact and can confirm that there's not much legroom. The view itself is surprisingly good though, as it's a little steep but still feels close and not too much like you're looking directly down on top of people.

I would concur that rear mezz is tight but mitigated by being on an aisle. However, I decided to go front mezz for KMK.
Just remembering you've had an "and" When you're back to "or" Makes the "or" mean more than it did before

Looking to buy my ticket today. I have a question. Im looking at seat Right Orchestra, Row A, Seat 6. Its a bargain at $59. However, its a companion seat (next to wheelchair space). Is it insensitive for me to buy it in case person in a wheelchair needs companion next to them? Also, Ive never sat this far up and to the side at Studio 54. Would this be partial view?

Thats not allowed and companion seats are for people coming with a guest in a wheelchair. However if you dont mind getting your ticket canceled, you can try.

Not only is it "insensitive", --- you aren't allowed to buy them (unless you plan on renting a wheelchair for you or your companion to show up in).

Thanks. I dont want to be a schmuck (or to lose my seat) so I paid the $138 ($129 + $9) for Front Mezzanine DD118. Ive sat Rear mezzanine (never again!) and Row K Center Orchestra at Studio 54 so hope I like my seat. Should have straight ahead view of stage.

Accessible seating is often priced to give those patrons the same pricing options everyone else has, despite the theater not enabling them to sit anywhere else. When I took my grandmother to Hello Dolly with Bette, we only paid $89 for the last row of the orchestra, even though the seat in front of us was going for $525. But $89 was the cheapest ticket price somewhere in the venue.

When tickets first went on sale I was able to purchase A1 in the orchestra for $59. It said nothing about being a wheelchair or companion spot. Does anyone foresee any potential problems?

Same here. Originally, A 1-3 and A 2-4 were being sold as $59 partial view seats, indicated by a green and white circle. There was no indication that they were accessible in any way, and it says "PARTIAL VIEW" on my ticket. They next day, they were all unavailable for sale. Since they never contacted me about it, and since it appears to be their mistake, I'm not expecting an issue.
