So, I love reading the weekly show grosses on this site, but I find myself wondering a couple things as I read and I am wondering if these statistics might also be added.
1. What was the initial investment in each show?
2. Weekly running costs?
These are more obscure and I have no idea if BWW would be able to obtain this info. But I also wonder:
1. Number of Producers?
2. How the profits are shared/what percent of weekly gross goes to whom/what?
I feel like these statistics would help me gain more perspective on the numbers. Just a thought though!
i don't think most shows release all that info

With the excepetion of the number of producers and their names (look in your playbill or on IBDB), most of the rest of that information is private, confidential information which producers are under no obligation to report to the general public (and thus, they don't). While the occasional capitalization figure or weekly nut amount manages to slip out via insiders, that info generally isn't published or freely available.
Although I think that just giving the grosses without at least knowing the weekly cut just leads to speculation and gossip.

It would be interesting to know which productions have paid back their investments, and how far the other ones are at paying there, but again, I doubt that's known.

Productions almost always issue a press release announcing that they've recouped their initial investment once it happens (go over to Playbill.com and do a search for "recoup" and you'll get a bunch of shows' press releases). Shows that haven't recouped very rarely will publicly state how far along they are to recoupment. And shows that run for years after they've recouped occasionally will announce approximately how much profit they've made -- though sometimes they only state the total gross -- sometime around the time of their final performance (especially for bragging rights if the figure is in the hundreds of millions).
