Apparently, he pulled an Idina and fell through a trap door on the stage of the Delacorte. Fractured 4 ribs and was treated for a collapsed lung.

OK, that's totally serious, speedy recovery, etc.- but I did just totally LOL at you for using 'pulled an Idina' in a sentence.

Yankeefan, the first time I read your post, I didn't understand what you meant and I thought he pulled Idina down with him! Didn't Idina break a rib too?

OMG. How does anyone "recover quickly" from a collapsed lung? Sounds like PR-spin to me. His broken ribs must have punctured his lung. This is serious. *closing eyes and sending Mr. Sullivan good thoughts*

I cannot believe this. Dan's a former teacher and friend of mine and this is very sad news. I hope he recovers very very very soon.

I had a collapsed lung back in 99...trust me...it's not that hard to recover from...the 4 fractured ribs is the much more painful part of the injury.
