Oooh, exciting!
I'm named after a bar.
My bad on not figuring out George at the Disco meant Studio 54. Continue on there.
YAY!!!!! I am so EXCITED. I really hope this happens.
so excited!!! I saw the production in london, and was in the front row, weeping the entire time. this will be fantastic, although the theater in london was much smaller, i wonder how this will work in such a large theater. still- such great news!

No surprise Roundabout is producing this. I am so excited. I'll be ordering tickets the day they go on sale, as I need to see this up close and personal.

Roundabout only wishes it could mount as decent a production as this one out of the UK. And, of course, leave it to the Roundabout to produce the safest, risk-free kind of theater---Sondheim in New York.

YES YES YES YES YESSSSSSS!
The weird thing is, I was just thinking yesterday how badly I want the SITPWG revival on Broadway.
God was listening!
Even though Studio 54 is larger than the theatre Sunday... was at in London. It's still pretty intimate for Broadway.
Studio 54 has only ~920 seats, but it feels so huge to me...esp if you're in the rear mezz.
excited but i wish it would go into the American Airlines. I wish i could go back in time and see it with its original cast at the Booth.

Its hard to fit a full sized musical into the Airlines.

I'm excited for this. I've been wishing for a SitPwG revival.

What on earth is that supposed to mean?
Now I'm sure that you'll just respond with some half witted, half cryptic response - but I figured I would pose the question to your grace anyway.
Safest, risk-free kind of theatre?
Well, first of all, when has a Sondheim show ever been safe and risk free?
Second, while the Roundabout is certainly guilty of conforming and trying to appeal to tourists (PRELUDE TO A KISS, A FEW GOOD MEN) they do productions that other theatre companies (or for-profit producers wouldn't TOUCH).
Who else would take a gamble on A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE with John C. Reilly? THE THREEPENNY OPERA? THE APPLE TREE? 110 IN THE SHADE? Or what about HEARTBREAK HOUSE, a George Bernard Shaw play - surely that's anything but safe.
NINE? PACIFIC OVERTURES? ASSASSINS? THE PAJAMA GAME? THE CONSTANT WIFE? UNCLY VANYA? TWELVE ANGRY MEN?
And what about HOWARD KATZ, Patrick Marber's new play - or THE HOME PLACE - Brian Friel's new play that they are doing this season? Since when is bringing brand new works to fruition safe and risk free?
So for once, just really shut the hell up. You are 100% wrong.

I KNEW there was a reason to skip the Reprise! staging! Now I can see it "for real"!
sondheim is the most adventurous to produce, as most lose money, though that can't happen here.
I'm disappointed. Sunday is one of my alltime favorite scores and the sound at 54 sucks.
jhfbseyagfsaekyg!!
i am so excited! i hope this happens! i've always wanted to see this show..
i remember when i first found out about it, i was doing a french project on George Serat, and felt like it was fate that my little theatre-self picked a man who was the basis of a musical for her project. *nostalgic sigh*
this made my day! thank you! =D
happy valentine's day!
Yes! This is exciting... And thank god its not ANOTHER john doyle production...
