My mom finally watched it today...it was the first sondheim show she has ever liked!
It is of course one of the greatest pieces of theatre ever crafted. And the second act...If there is anything that needs to be cut, it is the intermission.

Posted: 3/27/05 at 2:36pmI saw Sunday... years ago when it was broadcast on tv. Just watched it again on DVD last night and again this morning. I rented it. It ranks up there with Sondheim's best. I actually love the second act as well as the second act of Into the Woods. Especially from "Your Fault" on to the end. Sunday... does play like two different shows. There is a difference in the music between the 2 acts but it works. I think the second act sounds more like Into the Woods and Sweeney Todd. The 1st act is just a gem unto itself. Just my random thoughts!

Is that a crime, CQ?
"oh, and MTT- i dont really think Raul could do George."
Raul has done George, and wonderfully, too. He and Melissa did it to perfection in 2002 in DC.
