So we have a thread for the boys, but what about the lasses? Who do we think will get nominated?
there's an entire thread about tony predictions
I'd like to see Mary Beth Peil or Stephanie J. Block in the running.
I also have a hunch that Rachelle Ann Go might slip in because she was so well-received in the West End production. But I've been wrong before. Lol

Mary Beth Peil and Rachel Bay Jones, from the shows I've seen so far.
Ms Heather Headley would have killed it in this category if she were eligible, for her Shug Avery.
And I agree that it is far too early to discuss this. Most of the shows haven't even opened yet.
True. But a lot of the new musicals have been seen already:.. Bronx Tale, The Bandstand, Come From Away....
I would love to see Amber Gray and Rachel Bay Jones get nominated.
Rachel Bay Jones should have been nominated for Pippin. She had me in stitches and approached that character in a fresh way. Love her.
My early and completely unfounded predictions for this category:
Locks:
Amber Gray, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812
Rachel Bay Jones, Dear Evan Hansen
Mary Beth Peil, Anastasia
Strong Potential:
Jenn Colella, Come From Away
Stephanie J. Block, Falsettos
Caroline O'Connor, Anastasia

Rachel Bay Jones for the win in my opinion.
Jones and Peil seem the likeliest nominees at this point. Kate Baldwin will probably also be in the running for Hello Dolly.
After reading Isherwood's rave review of her performance and based on the great word of mouth she has gotten on the board, I think Stephanie J. Block is officially lock and wouldn't be surprised to see her garner various accolades for what sounds like a showstopping "I'm Breaking Down."
Since when is Trina a supporting role? Stephanie J Block should certainly be nominated for lead.
I predict that Rachel Bay Jones should absolutely win for her beautiful performance in Dear Evan Hansen.
Rachel Bay Jones is probably the likely winner. Block may be nominated for lead, I have no idea how she's billed in the production, but Barbara Walsh was supported in the Featured Actress category.

A role being leading or featured has nothing to do with size. FALSETTOS is Marvin's story. All the remaining roles are supporting.
