At the time of the spill, the actress was performing a number called "Accident Waiting to Happen." A spokesperson for The Ahmanson Theatre, which is producing the U.S. premiere of the musical comedy, confirmed the story — and the ironic song title.
Oh my goodness!
But, ouch. What a shame.

Oh why do all my favorite people get hurt during rehearsals?? Hope she feels better, I'm planning on seeing the show while it's in L.A.

The article indicates that she is going forward with the show and should be able to do most of the dancing.
I am going to First Preview a week from tonight and will definitely report if she is in. I really hope she is, but obviously her safety is first priority.

Patronus - if my friend Megan gets her act together we may be there with you. Apparantly still some $20 Hot Tix left for first week.

Ah, very cool!
I got hottix for first preview and closing night when they first went on sale.
I'd have bought opening night instead, but it's the night before my early am flight to NY.

Ah, that's pretty cool, Popular. Always nice to have that stage door "in".
That would definitley trump my "I'm from Georgia too" method that I had planned.

Unfortunately the backflips and the jumping through hoops (literally) that were part of that # will have to go. She also can't hold props. I hope she heals soon and that she's not going to be up on stage in pain while putting on a game face.

I thought you were going on the 20th?
I am so confused.
Who knows, maybe I will try to sneak in Thursday after work. I'll give HotTix a call and see if there are any seats left.

I'd think it be more of an annoyance than painful since she's already in a cast, ect... at least I hope so. Either way, she's a trooper and it gives us an excuse to have to go to NY and see it again if it turns out to be as great as I hope it is.

YWIW, I'll be seeing Spelling Bee and Rent in NY on the 20th.
Chaperone is 11/10 and 12/24.
Popular, that's too bad. We will end up meeting one another eventually.
Are you seeing Tick, Tick...Boom?

Yes, but my dad lives in Ojai so I'm used to the trip ... it's only about an hour from me and I already do that each way to work!

"And at first I was like, 'How stupid, I fell in front of all these people' — but then I realized I was hurt." Despite the pain, Foster was still surprised that it was not just a sprain but a broken bone. "I've never broken anything before," she said, "so it's very dramatic and exciting."
