Sutton will not be leaving "The Drowsy Chaperone". She will be missing a few performances but is not leaving the show before or after her wedding.

Also, she is known for long runs -- she remained in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" for almost 2 years, not counting her run in the show at LaJolla before Broadway.

I heard she will be taking a short break in October. Her wedding is in September.

As another poster said, I know her leave is around September or October. I don't know the exact dates, but I am pretty sure she'll be gone for two weeks at that time.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Sutton will be out 9/18-10/1. As far as I know it's still being decided whether each of her two u/s will get one week or if one of the gals will just take the entire two weeks.

BwayBaby, why are you happy they aren't bringing someone new in for the role who is fresh? I'd personally love to see Melanie Griffith take a stab at the role, she was fantastic in Chicago

She's more of a Beth Leavel than a Sutton Foster. I would love to see Eden Espinosa as Janet!
