I'm seeing Sweeney this coming Wednesday night. I guess I'll get to buy the CD! YAY!!

Sweet Charity and other cast recordings were available in NYC before their official release date. For instance I got the Sweet Charity Revival CD at the theatre on June 19, and later that week people on here were saying it was available in the major Broadway record stores (Colony, Virgin) And the official release date was July 12.
So I have a feeling the Sweeney recording will be appearing in record stores this week in NYC.
And does anyone know if you can buy merchandise at a theatre without seeing the show? Would it be possible to ask the box office if I could buy the CD?
ljay889, the merchandise booth was moved to the lobby during intermission when I saw the show on Thursday, so if you're in the area at that time it should be easy enough.
so can you just go to the theater any time of day (prob the early afternoon) and just ask to go in and buys stuff? i usually walk around times square about 1:00 Pm, and like to buys bway merchandise... (sorry a bit off topic)
I will never buy a new release from Colony, they charge way too much.
The theatre will most likely sell it for the list price, which I believe is $21.99 - which I don't mind spending for 2 discs.
I would rather pay the list price to get it early, then to wait to just pay a few dollars less.
Plus the record stores in the area I live in (NJ) never gets cast recordings on the day they are released. And I hate going crazy to find a cast recording around here.
