I had planned on taking a group of my members, and some of them have bought their tickets already, but I'm not going. It was between the Bowery gig and his and I chose the Bowery gig. I have someone managing the group I organized to go to his gig.

Oh, OK, sorry for the mix-up. I loved Manoel Felciano and the entire cast of Sweeney Todd and wish them nothing but the very best...in their solo and Broadway efforts. They're amazingly talented. But honestly the only one I have a personal interest in seeing in concert outside of the show is LuPone.

"so, i just went to look at the show's website and didn't realize that it had already been shut down! it's just a blank white screen with "RIP Sweeney Todd" on the top. *sniff* "

Jeez, that was quick! I remember Gypsy's website stayed online for a good 6 months after the show closed. They should have kept it running for the tour's sake.

As for what Michael is doing, like, right now-

Just ran into him after seeing Rock 'N Roll here in London. Didn't get a chance to talk to him extensively, but he's doing well. Didn't mention any new projects though.

Donna Lynne Champlin just finished up Flight of the Lawnchair Man at NYMF.... on the 25th, she'll be part of a Sondheim benefit in my neck of the woods at the Westport Country Playhouse... and then for a stint in November through December, I believe, she'll be in Meet John Doe at Goodspeed. (well it's not actually AT Goodspeed, but it's a Goodspeed production)
