I'm actually glad if they're going to be cutting songs since it will make the story tighter and easier to grasp for the non-theater-going audience. The Phantom of the Opera could've used more cuts (the one that comes to mind is the title song... "The Phantom of the Opera"). I think Russell Crowe would have been a good Sweeney. However, I can imagine him more as Jean Valjean in Les Mis. He's the only actor I can recall that is of A-List status and has the build needed for the role.

I'm sorry what position do you have on the movie Tom Monster???
Helena Bonham Carter, I completely forgot she sang in the Corpse Bride. She will surely be cast Mrs. Lovette.

"Have we seen tim's last couple of movies...he has bad ideas blowin out his ass."
Now, I know that we are entitled to our own opinions about certain things, but I can't help but say that the above statement is not a fairly accurate statement regarding some of Burton's more recent films.
I'm not sure how Corpse Bride did, but I can tell you for a fact that Charlie and The Chocolate Factory got rave reviews from the critics and was one of two films that Warner Brothers released last summer(Batman Begins being the other) that brought in or totaled together made about $200 million dollars. In the P.O.V. of an investor/studio exec. that's a good thing.
I just want to say again, that I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion about things, but usually when someone bad mouths a favorite director/actor/singer of mine I usually have to defend him and Burton may have made some bad movies, but he's still one of the great directors of the time(although it's not a high ranking he was on the list at number 49 of the top 50 directors).
Sorry for the somewhat off topic post.

I can't remeber who said it before, but surely would'nt cut Epiphany?! it's lke one of the biggest if not the highlights of the show, but I get your point as in Sweeney can't go yelling at people in the street saying you sir, yada yada, but Burtoin's clever, he'll find a way, weather it's talking to shadows on the wall or a hat holder, lol.
Ooh, maybe it'll have City on Fire. That would be amazing 'cause it's a great song and not on the Cast Recording.
