Sweet Smell of Success -- ?

Does anyone have any pics of this show? Pics of the marquee, etc. Just wondering. I'm thinking of buying the cast recording cause I heard a song on BWW radio that i liked. Thanks. Any comments would be great.

There are pics on broadwaybeat.com under "Photo Album." I love the obcr. The show's book may have been weak, but the music and cast are great!
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D

Didn't see the show, but the cast album is one of my favorites of the last few years. That was a big surprise, since I'm not usually particularily impressed by Hamlisch. Very atmospheric and surprisingly moving. It also gives you a much better idea of what's happening in the plot than most recordings do. I would give it a very strong recommendation for purchase.

Buy the CD because it is pretty good. I didn't see the show but I love the music.

On stage it was a total disaster. The Greek Chorus thing just did not work, Lithgow was off-key and you could barely see the stage because it was so dark.
"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

if they had included on the CD the overture, "Psalm 151", the first reprise of "I Cannot Hear the City", and the act one finale ... it would have been even better... I can't vouch for the stage production but the music is so hot and jazzy you just can't help but want to play it over and over... at least to me...
