what a great idea. This is the RIGHT way to build audiences using the reach of TV ( instead of reality show casting). Unfortunately, TCM could never do this in NYC because of Equity's tight controls on filming rehearsals, which I think is too stringent.

I w.was struck by the amazing hubris of the composer, saying "I knew I could write this show where nobody else could" or something like that.

Modesty becomes her.

This show has been attacked by everyone from Lerner and Loewe to Harold Rome and many in between.

You better deliver, big time sister, or that little excerpt will become your exit line.

I hope she delivers, as well as the rest of the creative team and the cast, as I already have tickets to see the show when I visit London in late April

I am also hoping that with Trevor Nunn's directing hand ( and longtime involvement in the project -- there is some buzz that the lyrics/book has been adapted by Trevor, meaning he has helped rewrite them) and a fresh and talented cast ( I am looking forward to seeing Jill Paice again, after The Woman in White, and curious to see how Darius Danesh appeals in musical theatre) that the show will be the new hit in London.
